Riga Spring Break Program

Riga Spring Break

This spring break, spend 8 days exploring Latvia while developing your Russian language skills. Focus on conversation both in and out of the classroom, including with your host family. In addition to intensive Russian language lessons, you’ll tour Riga, learn to cook traditional Russian foods, and be introduced to Latvian culture.

Offered over spring break, this 9-day trip will introduce you to modern Uzbekistan before taking you back in time, immersing you in the art, architecture, culture, and history of this very unique civilization. Riga Winter Break

Riga Winter Break

Offered over winter break, this one- to four-week intensive course will build your Russian skills while introducing you to both Russian and Latvian culture over the festive holiday season! Experience Orthodox Christmas, explore Riga, and strengthen your language skills. Earn up to four college credits for your time abroad.

– Compact Certificate Courses –

SRAS Certificate Courses are location-based, intensive, and interdisciplinary in nature. Through lectures, workshops, dialogues, and other experiences, we address current and global issues that are even more relevant and visible in our host country. Upon completion, you gain a certificate, many contacts, and experience to share on your resume.

This spring break, take a one-week certificate course to explore media literacy and decoding through the lens of identity, technology, and security in the Baltic context, between the Eastern information sphere and Western media ecosystem.

Identity, Tradition, and Taste

Offered over spring break, during this 8-day certificate course we will focus on the role of wine in Georgian history and culture, travelling the country as we visit archaeological sites, stroll through Tbilisi’s markets, cook traditional dishes, and meet wine producers.

How Much Does It Cost To Study Abroad?

Your total costs can be divided into four main categories:

  1. Program: Each program page gives its specific pricing information. SRAS offers a variety of program choices of varying length and cost.
  2. Cost of Living: Students report spending between $60-90 per week in most locations for food, transport, and entertainment.
  3. Housing: With very few exceptions, SRAS programs include housing. See each program page for more information.
  4. Airfare: Our International Airfare Guide can give you some pointers on getting the best price for tickets to and from your study abroad destination.
